Occasionally, a permit and/or reservation may be necessary for photography services, though not always. The requirements, including rules and fees for permits, reservations, and commercial activities, vary by location and are subject to annual changes. To streamline your search for your next photo session in Colorado, we've narrowed down a small list of locations. Use the Table of Contents to narrow your search.
PARKING & PASSES
Certain locations may require parking and/or entry fees for photography services. If you're a Colorado Resident who has purchased the $29 Keep Colorado Wild Pass during vehicle registration, you're entitled to access all Colorado State Parks. Leave No Trace:
-
Know before You go: Familiarize yourself with the area, check weather conditions, pack essentials, and have backup plans for crowded destinations.
-
Stick to Trails: Stay on designated trails to prevent erosion, protect wildlife habitats, and ensure safety.
-
Leave it as you find it: Respect nature by not disturbing plants, rocks, or historical items. Take photos instead of picking wildflowers.
-
Trash the Trash: Pack out all trash, including biodegradable items like fruit peels, and properly dispose of waste.
-
Be Careful with Fire: Follow regulations for campfires, keep them small and attended, and fully extinguish them. Use locally sourced firewood to prevent invasive species.
-
Keep Wildlife Wild: Maintain a safe distance from wildlife, store food securely to prevent attracting animals, and respect right-of-way on trails.
-
Share Our Trails & Parks: Be considerate of others' enjoyment of shared outdoor spaces, yield to certain users like uphill hikers and wheelchair users.
Tilted Frame Photography & Design, LLC and its employees adheres to individual Park Rules & Regulations in addition to the Colorado principles for parks and trails.
